Microtek Lab Microtek E3 Driver. [FCCID=EF9MRS-600E3] I tried the Microtek.inf from driverguide uploaded by a member and got the message about a missing file "msmusd" as noticed by another member.
File Contents: I went to Microtek support for discontinued product and dowloaded 3 exe that I compressed in one zip file.
The scanner is now operational under Adobe Acrobat 4.
The followed steps were
-unzip my file into 3 exe
-unzip the 3 exe WITHOUT changing the path
-go to disk1 and launch setup WITHOUT changing any default
-shutdown and reboot XP (NOT restart)
-wait for XP to detect E3 and follow Microsoft Wizard
PS you may need to uninstall E3 before starting the procedure. Go to Control Panel > Administration > Device > Imaging or "Question mark" and delete the unoperational E3.
