Microtech Vantas 3000 Driver. Installed Successfully in Win 7

first plug in the power to the VANTAS

3000 scanner

plug the usb from scanner into the

computers usb port

wait until it fails to install a

driver

go in TBDrivers folder

right click RunInf.exe [Application]

checkmark Run this program in

compatibility mode for:

in the box below choose Windows 2000

Under Privilege Level

Checkmark Run this program as an

administrator

click ok

run the program/application RunInf

it runs and quickly dissapears

now, go into device manager

find the scanner probably in Other

Devices?

right click the scanner

left click update driver software

click Browse my computer for driver

software

under Search for driver software in

this location:

type in the box %SystemRoot%\Inf

be sure Include subfolders is

checkmarked

click Next

finish the install

now the device is installed as a usb

twain image device

use some third party scanning

software, or somehow use the included

software.

Personally i use Jasc Paint shop pro 7

or 8

those 2 and some other basic programs

are similar in their use

in psp 7 & 8 to use the scanner

click file / import / twain / select

source

select the scanner

click ok

then to scan

click file / import / twain / acquire

then you can preview the scan, select

what area to scan

change the color and dots per inch

and Scan

after pressing scan, it creates a new

image with the scan

then you need to click file, end twain

session

theres your scan using paint shop pro

7 or 8
