Operating System: Windows 2000 (Note: might work with other versions of this os.)
UMAX Astra 2000U Driver. I downloaded VistaScan 355u and ran it. It creates several folders. I also downloaded pv8630.zip (on the bottom of the page) and unzipped it. I then plugged in the scanner. I told in the disk1 folder (created by the 355u program). When it asked for pv8630.sys I gave it the location of the unzipped pv8630.zip.
