UMAX Vista S6 Driver. I found this on the Deutschland Umax site ... it is for NT, but it is the only way I have found to light up the S6 SCSI scanner under W2K ... tried several other drivers, which resulted in the Blue Screen Of Death upon reboot ... the quirk with this one (I'm guessing it was originally an NT driver, then modified) is that upon reboot, W2K wants to find the driver, which it won't recognize ... sort of ... I disabled the driver to avoid the annoying message from the OS, but it still loads ... when I call for a scan from Corel or MGI, etc. I see the Magicscan 4.xx Twain interface, select it, and it loads MagicScan for the scan ... won't install or load auto color matching ... works great ... the scanner was a corporate throwaway because they couldn't find a driver ... Hey, free is good! (except for the garbage in the dumpster)
